Anti Virus and Macs?

I'm thinking of buying a Macbook Pro. I have Norton Internet Security 2007 for Windows software, but am worried it won't run on OS X. Can I install it on the Pro in Microsoft Windows (through Bootcamp)? And if so, will it only protect the Windows portion of the system, or the system as a whole?

if you run windows on your mac you are open to all the windows virus %26 SPYWARE... they can infect the mac files, but won't procreate while running OS X...

some viruses do stupid thinks like change you gif files or create files in the file system... keep your pc away from your mac files!

You don't need it to run on OS X. Windows currently has several hundred thousand viruses and hundreds of new ones coming out each day. Mac OS X has... well... I think they're still arguing over wether or not there is a virus available yet.

When you install virus protection for Microsoft Windows, it only protects Microsoft Windows.
