Does an anti virus scan eliminates the virus that was Found?

I ran a scan on my computer and the is said that it found a virus and it continue to run a scan. But I wasnt clear if that meant that the found it and destroyed it or that they found it and told me and now I have to do something about it.

Maybe not, because by the time the anti-virus scanning removes registry entries and the related host virus program which has already implanted its mine traps everywhere in files and folders and whenever you click on them, they multiply again.

Have no choice to delete these inffected files even it may crash PC later if the inffected files are the system ones.

So, need emergency rescue disk about 3GB with the installed widows to run and use external drive for the inffected disk to save files need and reformat old disk.

It's horrible, isnt it?

only if you its the full verison...trails only work with limited effects. So yes if you are getting the complete packjage.
That depends on the virus program you use. Some will quarantine the file in a separate folder making it useless. Other programs simply identify it, and you have to delete it yourself.
Wait till the scan is finsih, after it finished it will ask you whether you want it to quarantined or delete. If the virus already infected some of the files in ur computer maybe it will asked you something like to you want to delete the file that been infected with the virus or ask you if you want to repair the infected files. hopefully your comp will be ok
No.And those things always find viruses.I use the stuff that came free and it always says it's clean. So,unless you actually have problems there are no viruses.
