Avg anti-virus is not free?

Do you know any way I can continue to use avg antivirus for free? I got a message from them today that it expires in January on my pc. This is the best antivirus I have used as Mcafee I paid for could not stop virus so I got this.

Should I switch to aol free antivirus? Would you recommend it?

Well, AVG released their new anti-virus 7.5, so they are going to end support for 7.1 version on January. Its still free, you have just got to switch over to 7.5. Here is the link to get AVG 7.5 Free:
