it is best to backup your data, reformat and reinstall your OS.

listen to the podcasts at %26lt;%26gt;http://www.grc.com/securitynow.htm%26gt;

this may seem like overkill, but, once you have a virus you can never be sure because the virus may have disabled some of your antivirus sw or antispyware sw and then you really never know where you stand.

at grc.com they also suggest running your OS in a virtual machine. If it gets infected then delete it and fire up the copy of the clean virtual machine. your data would be stored on a file system outside of the virtual machine.

with faster CPUs and larger disks it is easy to install parallels or VMWare on your machine and run virtual machines.

If your anti virus software cannot delete it then there is only one option you need to go to http://propcaid.com/ then go to computer help and email the pros your problem and they will send u a solution
You need a different antivirus program. The one you are using is worthless. I recommend active virus shield. It is by far the best free antivirus program you will ever use.
did you try to quarrentine it.

It not only gives complete solutions but also offers

and eliminate all spyware/virus/adware/trojans completely.
I suggest you remove all the restore points by turning off system restore. Then do a registry cleanup with CCleaner using secure deletion mode with 7 passes by adjusting the settings. If you don't have CCleaner, you can download from www.filehippo.com . After that run your updated anti virus and anti spyware programs. If all is right with your computer create a new restore point.
Are you using AVG? Try Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool.
