I have an activation problem with my anti-virus software and need an activation code.?

I originally had this program, and it worked find, then I tried something else and didn't like it. So I went to re-download my original software (AOL Active Virus Shield) and it was no longer available for download. So I was stuck with the install but no activation code so I can't scan, or update, any ideas?

AVS has been discontinued totally by AOL and all updating is also being stopped. (mine stopped updating last week).

With new viruses being created by the "blackhats" every hour 24/7, using an anti-virus that won't update to catch these new malware variants is simply courting disaster. I would suggest the free Avria Anti-Vir:

While it only updates about 3 times a day, it's virus detection rates are comparable to our old Active Virus Shield.

Active virus shield has been shutdown. No more updates. I recommend antivir. It has higher detection/removal rates than avg and avast. It is also free.
