Everytime I get on the internet on my Dell pc, this website shows some kind a security dealing with a virus...I asked a technology teacher which was the best and she considered Norton and plus it's a bit cheaper. She considered getting it at Wal-Mart or Office Depot...

Norton used to be great, well still is if you want to pay a subscription every year. Delete it from add remove programs from controll panel. goto www.avast.com

A2Z said it...Norton used to be a MUST.
Then the horror stories started to come in.
Members of our computer club would send in their $40 and not get a download.
Members would try to phone Norton and get nowhere.
Members would try to contact Norton with problems. No results.
The final blow came when MICROSOFT announced (somebody correct me if my info is wrong) that VISTA would not support Norton.
True or not AVG from www.grisoft.com is just great, updates every little while automatically on your PC and best of IT IS FREE.
norton is really good, but so is macAfee. Norton is very respected.
