I downloaded the song Hotel Califorina by the Eagles and the next day I had a trojan horse virus. I would love to download movies but I am kinda scared to.

The anti virus may be disabled when you are running the download, but just make sure u run the scan after downloading, that should keep your computer in good condition. Nothin can prevent it from coming in i don't think so, but u can always remove, ALWAYS SCAN RIGHT AFTER DOWLOADING! :)

avast at www.avast.com has built in protection for p2p. I use it nad hgave no problems and we donwload a lot of stuff. it has a free personal versio nthat you register free for one year and when it runs out you reregister again free for another year

Haven't you been reading about the lawsuits of the P2P program providers. Everyone of them has lost and must provide the Music and Movie industry investigators with the information they get from you and your computer when you download their program. They get much more than just your IP address.
