What is a good anti-virus program that also blocks popups?

I think my computer may have a virus. I was trying to close this ad I ran into earlier, and ever since then, my computer has been acting slow, and will every once in awhile fill with pop-ups. Very annoying.

To stop pop-up's from occurring in Internet Explorer make sure your pop up blocker is turned on. Go to tools pop-up blocker. For better blocking use Firefox or Opera browser over IE.

Norton Antivirus
Try Avast at www.avast.com. I started using it one year ago and it catches things that Norton has missed. It also consumes much less conputing resources than Norton.

For Home users, the avast Home version is free.

You need not only an antivirus but also a spy/adware removal tool and a proper firewall (Windows' own firewall is not good enough!!), I'd suggest F-Secure Internet Security.

symantec (norton) is the very best! period...... go shove that thumb... lol lol.... And nothing free is any good!
I dowloaded from Microsoft their 'Defender' stops any pop-up I get.
