Is there an anti-virus website that can scan a website for you to see if it is safe?

I came along a website and my AVG went crazy. I was wondering if there is a website or resource that can scan a website/url/html to verify whether there is a virus, malicious link or trojan in a website?

Yes!

Download the Dr.Web Link Checker. Just right-click on a link and it will check the site for viruses.

Just be aware that it will check the site only for malious code. It will not check any downloads that the particular site may offer. For that purpose a free program called SiteAdvisor is good.

"Doctor Web, Ltd. offers new free service developed for users traveling on the World Wide Web with the help of Mozilla, Mozilla Firefox, Opera or MS Internet Explorer, which is a plug-in to scan for viruses and different kinds of malicious programs, such as dialers, spywares or adwares any link to a page before it is s opened, or any file before it is downloaded onto a computer with the most up-to-date version of the Dr.Web scanner and hot add-ons to the virus database, released twice per hour!"
