Whats the best anti-virus out there?abtuvurys 2005
I have used AVG Anti Virus, Zone Alarm Firewall, Spy-bot Search and Destroy and Ad Aware both spyware killers for years. They are all free for personal use and I have had no trouble with Viruses Trojans etc. AVG does not slow the system down as much as some other products and Zone Alarm allows a lot of personal configuration unlike the Windows Firewall. They can all be downloaded from the following linkhttp://www.computeractive.co.uk/. On the home page select downloads and then the appropriate category.I also use Windows Defender from the Microsoft site. It is safe to use two anti-spy products but never use more than one A/V as it can cause conflicts. You should run A/V and anti spy weekly. Hope this helps
Whats the best anti-virus out there?antivirus programs
NOD32 gets very good reviews from just about everybody. http://www.eset.com
I've always liked AVG for good freeware
I do not recommend any of the free products like AVG, as they are often buggy, and slow performance wise. For less than $50 you can get a professional, feature-rich program like Anonymizer Safe Surfing Suite. A computer is like an automobile in that it needs regular maintenance, and Anti-spyware and Anti-virus programs provide you with this. I have a couple of recommendation's for you. Use the links at the end of this post for good starting places.
1. Download/buy a good anti-virus program such a Norton.
2. Download/buy a good Anti-spyware program. Windows Defender is free and quite useful and is available for download from the Microsoft website.

Avast! is a decent program that is free for personal use.
I use NOD32, which has lots of protection, updates frequently (keeps current virus signatures ready), and I've never had a problem while using it.
