What is the best anti-virus/spyware/spam around, and throw in a firewall too?

for some reason is tried norton 2005,kerpersky, both failed.When i switched to mcafee it told me i had 57 worm,trojans,i thought my virus protectors killed them.So now i am wondering if my mcafee is doing the same so far no problems.Is it really Mcafee?
