How do we know that they are not the ones creating the virus, then the service to delete it?
Why do we trust anti-virus companies?hp
Well, the very end result is that we don't. However, lots of the viruses have been tracked and a lot of them have even been tracked down to the person who wrote them, and they weren't the anti-virus companies employees or anything. You could get a nice conspiracy though......
Why do we trust anti-virus companies?mcaffee
well, i guess that is always possible. I think you have started a conspiracy! Report It
Do you trust your bank with your money?
It is human nature to be trusting.... the internet is one large trusting community with a few deviants (viruses, porn, etc)
Trust my reply ;-)
because if anybody knows that they are creating the viruses then they will lose their customers trust and no one will buy there products and go bankrupt.
C'est la vie
you need to trust people from time to time
An anti-viruscompany that spreads viruses itself will be out of business as soon as word gets out that they've been the ones spreading viruses: they'd be sued blind, not to mention the damage to their reputation. So chances that such companies are actually spreading viruses are minimal.
Yeah it`s humiliating, but there's no other wayout but using these services. Personally I trust NOD32.
At least they can't do much harm to u with their little viruses.
Still, REAL hackers do not sleep!!!
I agreed with the former answer?
that's why I use free anti-virus software - they've nothing to gain from it!
