How do I get Norton Anti Virus security suite 2007 to work on more than one computer?

It is supposed to work on 3 computers. When I put it in the 2nd computer, it says to uninstall the old virus control. It is uninstalled but it still says I have to uninstall it. I have rebooted many times.

What am I doing wrong?

Hi! Sometimes when you uninstall programs bits of it are left in the registry and you can delete those by hand if you know how. Otherwise try this. There is a freeware program called CCleaner. Download it (It's only small) this program works wonders cleaning all the stuff off your computer that takes up space for no reason. But it also has a registry cleaner...try running that and it might remove the bits of your old anti-virus that are still being picked up by Norton. I'm not a computer genious or anything but I know that this has worked for me in the past with a similar problem and it's a reall safe first step. Good luck.

Get a third party uninstaller to remove the old version.I recommend "your uninstaller 2007" . After that just install new version .
